Steel Kiosks
The main advantage of metal kiosks in comparison with concrete transformer substations, is the ease of transportation and installation. Due to the modular design, metal kiosks are made in various sizes and are commonly used in substations with Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS).  The frame of the kiosk is made of galvanized metal with a thickness of 2-3 mm and is standardly painted with electrostatic powder paint RAL 7032, on  request different colors are available. The ventilation system can be in the following types: natural ventilation, with a fan, with air conditioner. Materials used for thermal insulation: sandwich panels, rockwool and polystyrene foam plates, selected by request of the customer.

Structure of Kiosks

Roof: Designed in a modular structure, each part is separately produced by welding.

Transformer Compartment: Located in the middle of the kiosk, transformers up to 1600 kVA are located in this compartment.

Medium Voltage Compartment: Air Insulated or Gas Insulated switchgears with voltage up to 36 kV, located here, this compartment is separated from the transformer compartment by a metal wall.

Low Voltage Compartment: Low Voltage Panels are located here, this compartment is separated from the transformer compartment by a metal wall.

Basement: It is produced from “C” channels by welding, undergoes galvanization and painting processes. The channel size is determined by the weight of the transformer used.
